ABOUT US

  • THE DREAM

August 2005 is when it began.
Tim and Renata Constable realized that Warsaw needed a new expression of church that met the 21st century.

11 years later, on October 16, 2016, City Church launched out of the International Christian Fellowship of Warsaw as its first sister church.

  • THE RETURN

Jesus is our center, leading us
to love God with all of our heart, soul & mind.

In October 2021 we switched from online back to in-person meetings, returning to our original venue with a greater purpose.

Jesus did say “I will build my church, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.”

  • OUR MISSION

    OUR MISSION

Our Mission is to be leading people into a growing relationship with Jesus.

Our Vision is to Introduce English speakers in Warsaw
to Jesus & to help them develop as disciples, leaders, aiming to reach toward their full potential in Christ.

in order to impact our city
    & countries around the world.

  • OUR MINISTRY

We hold weekly Sunday Services in the heart of Warsaw, which includes our CityKids children’s ministry.

We have a very active & lively worship team, bringing
a flavor to our public worship that is unique to City Church.

For young adults, our CityLife group on Saturday evenings
is a fun, welcoming space to grow authentic relationships with God & one another.

And for more “chronologically advanced” folks we have our CityGrow group on Thursday evenings.

  • OUR OUTREACH

    Our primary outreach for
the last 2 years has been
to partner with an organization called Smile Warsaw, helping to feed 150-200 homeless individuals each month.

City Church sponsors the whole meal on the last Sunday of every month,
and everyone is invited to come & share some love with our friends.

MEET
OUR PASTOR

Scott is originally from New Jersey and Jacqui is from Philadelphia. But they had to go all the way down to Columbia International University in South Carolina, where they were both training for missionary service, in order to meet. God knit their hearts together, and they were married in 1993. Scott needed to do a one-year internship to complete his M.Div. in Urban Church Planting. They heard about an opportunity with Communitas International to help get a new church started in The Hague, The Netherlands. So they went in April, 1997 to join the church planting team there. At the end of the internship, they realized that they loved this church plant, and they wanted to stay. So the one-year internship turned into 14 years of service! In 2000, their daughter, Sara, joined the family, and they realized that they love being her parents!

In 2011 they moved out of The Netherlands to embark on a new challenge. They were invited to move to Glasgow, Scotland and to join the Communitas church planting team there, called “Mosaic”. It took two years to get a work permit visa, but they eventually arrived in 2013. They were also involved in developing outreach to Iranian refugees in Glasgow, which eventually became “Upper Room Church”.

Isaiah 55:8,9 has become a significant verse to Scott and Jacqui. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” God surprised them by leading them back to the US, where they lived in Philadelphia, PA for five years. Then he surprised them again, by leading them to Warsaw, Poland, to take the lead pastor role from the founding pastor of City Church, Tim Constable.

The Constables and Curleys had been friends for more than 15 years. When Tim mentioned, in a conversation with Scott, that he was moving his family back to Canada, and was looking for someone to take his place, Scott sensed the Holy Spirit poking him in the heart and saying “That’s for you”. Then God opened all the doors and made a way for Scott and Jacqui to arrive in Poland in December 2021. They are both delighted to be serving among such a wonderful group of people as they have found at City Church!

“Come grow relationships that
make a difference
